I would evaluate my background/experience in aging/addiction as fair after this class. I came into this class not know anything about aging and addiction. Over the course I feel I was able to build a concrete foundation of understanding this complex issue that is tied in with the aging process. I definitely would like to keep learning more about this and build on the knowledge I gained from this class.
Yes, my interests have changed. Obviously, being in the GAP program I was interested in aging as a whole, but this opened my eyes to a whole new aspect of aging. This course helped me to understand the correlation that these two share with one another. I would love to learn more about aging and addiction. Maybe even one day find a job where I am able to work with older adults who have and

Overall, I wanted to get more knowledge about aging and explore more aspects that come along with aging. I was challenged intellectually and had the opportunity to express my ideas and have them challenged, but I was also able to do the same for my peers in a respectful and professional way. I was able to learn a plethora of new things as well. I had no set expectations going into this course in what I wanted to get out of it, but I feel that in these past 10 weeks we were able to learn and create a wonderful underating of aging and addiction.
I personally feel as if everything was covered very well, I was able to learn about addiction from the start of the end when they are in recovery. I do feel as if I would have like to learn about each topic a little more in depth, but I do not feel as that would have been completely possible for this course and the time we had to cover everything. With that being said I do think this peaked my interesting in regards to aging and addiction and I would love to take another course that covers this topic more in depth and could build on the knowledge I have already gained from this
