In the novel Al Capone Does My Shirts by Gennifer Choldenko Chapters 30-32 Moose is a kid who moves to the island of Alcatraz to live there and has to struggle through a ton of conflict. Natalie (Moose’s “little” sister) wants to go outside but Moose won’t let her because of the con “105” and is scared to let her out. Eventually, Moose breaks and lets her out after a big tantrum and Natalie using the pronoun “I” to describe herself for the very first time. While outside Natalie fell asleep on the swing, so Moose had to carry her up to their apartment and met his dad along the way.
