Alphonse Gabriel Capone a.k.a Al Capone was born on January 17, 1899 and died on January 25, 1947 at the age of 48. He was leader of the Chicago Outfit wich was an Italian gang.George Clarence Moran a.k.a Bugs Moran was born on August 21, 1891 and died on February 25, 1957 at the age of 65. He was leader of the North side gang wich was an Irish gang.

The feud began in the 1920's over turf. During the prohibition (liquor was illegal) gangs began bootlegging liquor and selling it to the public. Chicago was split in half by the North side gang (Bug's gang) and the Chicago outfit (Al's gang). Both sides were trying to find new and more people to sell to in order to make a bigger profit. Both sides began fighting causing a lot of damage to Chicago.
