Alexander III was born for greatness. After the death of his father King Philip II, Alexander quickly gained the support of the Macedonian Army as their new king and became the leader of the Corinthian League. Alexander would go on to triumph over several cultures and lands; his kingdom stretching all the way from the Mediterranean up to the border of India. Before his reign could stretch any farther he died at 32. Alexander is viewed as one of history’s most powerful rulers and a militaristic genius because of his extreme youth and militaristic tactics, his defeat of the Persian Empire, and his start to the Hellenistic period.
