In July of this year, I took a trip to Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada. Algonquin Provincial Park is 2,995 square miles of pure, natural beauty. The park is home to over 2,000 lakes. It is also home to 2 different kinds of forest, deciduous and coniferous. There are campsites dotted all throughout the park. The campsites are surrounded by rocky formations and wildlife, including many kinds of fish, moose, and bears. I visited Algonquin with my youth group. We stayed in the canadian wilderness six days and it was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. We canoed 41 miles and carried our canoes over some portages over a mile and a half long.
