While reading All the President's Men by Woodward and Bernstein, it was intriguing to discover the corruptness that the Nixon administration held. From lying crooks to constant scandals, Woodward, Bernstein and other reporters dive in to solve this mystery. According to a once famous quote by Nixon,” I am not a crook”(NPR) This quote signified the highlights of what his administration was saying. His administration would consistently lie in order to obscure the truth. Woodward and Bernstein seeked out to interview most of his administration. By reviewing this book, it prompted me to dive in on the corrupt scandals that Nixon’s administration dealt with. The authors dealt with handling the investigation incredibly well. For starters, they were reliably accurate with what they reported. They would seek out numerous ways in order to get the story. For example, they would be begging, lying, and numerous times breaking the law just to get the scoop. The author would also seek out anonymous sources just to get ahead. Also, when you are a reporter, you want to get the facts. Before publishing something out for the world to see, it should be a 100 percent true. By getting the facts, its initiates the honesty as well as developing deep questions. As I saw in the book, there were times when the reporters had to deal with dishonest lies and major threats. For example, John mitchell would say,”You tell your publisher, tell Katie Graham she's gonna get her tit caught in a big wringer if that's published.” John mitchell was known as the head of the committee for the reelection of nixon and for him to threaten the press undermines the whole Nixon administration. Overall, this book does somewhat relate to me of finding out if a persons lying or
