Mobility consideration for Alzheimer disease clients:
A person in the late stage of ALD becomes dependent-bed-ridden or chair bound. A lack of mobility may lead to skin breakdown, pressure source and contractures * Change the person’s position, at least every 2 hours to relive pressure and improve skin moisture. Make the person as comfortable and keep the body alignment. Use pillows to support arms and legs, talk with the nurse about the proper techniques for lifting and transferring with limited mobility to prevent injury. There are devices and equipment that needs adaption to aid mobility.

This task is frustrating for the clients with ALD. The PSW have to pay attention to their oral hygiene, reduces the risk of bacteria in their mouth, use the soft brush for their teeth, and if they are unable to practice, the PSW must do the task, if they are able to do it themselves the PSW must encourage them to do the task.
The PSW must gave chance for the client to select their favorite clothes, but try offering only two choices. Most of Alzheimer’s disease they don’t know how dress themselves and they get frustrated with themselves. The PSW must encourage them to be calm and talk with respectfully and make them feel comfortable, so they find trust in the PSW.
PSW must clean their body regularly and wash them often, which reduces their body odour and must clean them and wipe them after toileting and then pay attention to their grooming, if they need and would like to put makeup, PSW must accompany them if needed.
Consideration for safety:
In the early stages of Alzheimer’s, PSW must always be supervise them because they are wondering around, the doors must be always closed with alarm and their environment have to safe without any dangerous
