In the 1800s and 1900s, men ruled the world. Typically, jobs requiring more physical strength and charisma were given to men, and women were forbidden to attempt them. Amelia Earhart was a woman who challenged that. Being a pilot is a tough job, and instead of sticking to the status quo, Earhart got out of the kitchen and into the air. Aside from countless records and accomplishments, Earhart had her eyes set on being the first person to fly around the world, an extremely large feat. However, Earhart, along with her navigator Fred Noonan, never made it to the finish line. While flying across the Pacific Ocean, something happened to Amelia Earhart that is still up in the air today.
