The American Civil War, the Civil war that started on the 12th of April 1861, to 13th of May 1865 being the main course of ‘Slavery”. Thou the north went to war with the South because of Slavery issues. But the south went to War with the North because of State Rights. Thou the south and north had there own reasons for going to war they still all fell into an economic war which caused distress amongst the north and south Economy.

10 years prior to the civil war in 1850 this issue resulted in a split within the Democratic Party making two democrats Northern and Southern, plus the emergence of a new political party, the Republicans. The Southside believed that Slavery was the key point of needed to work on their plantations. Within the Southern lives, they believed that slavery was part of their everyday lives. Because it had existed since 1619 and was completely legal. The south went to war against the north believe that the North did not have the Constitutional right to free slaves that were granted by the citizens of the Sovereign Southern States. Thomas Jefferson stated in the Declaration of Independence that all people were equal was contradicted by the fact that slavery was legal within the boundaries of the United States. Resulting in this American Politicians were stoked by the understanding of the contradiction that their society was supposed to be free and fair but also allowed slavery at the same time. Because slave became a big issue in the South they decided to call slaves ‘Peculiar Institution’. Southern agreed that slavery was good because it keeps White more or less equal. Though without slavery Southerners argued that the Whites would have to perform menial jobs, but with slavery, in the South, the blacks performed such jobs allowing to keep the white people in the upper class. In the end, southerners argued about the development in the North, where white people performed and worked in harsh conditions in factories. South believed that this was creating inequality amongst the
