The American dream will not only improve the lives of the immigrants but it will also improve the economy of the United States. The American dream is not an idea of the past it is the now and the future because Many hispanic immigrants are willing to work hard, though the government has said the american dream is dying the people strongly disagree, and though some European Americans believe that the American dream is dying, the majority of minorities have high hopes.
Immigrants associate the American dream with opportunity, a good job and home. The American dream has many different meanings. U.S.-born citizens usually associate it with things like wealth, financial security, freedom and even family. seventy two percent of people say they are living the American Dream or expect to, 50 percent who are living it now and another 22 percent who believe they can attain it in their lifetime. 67 percent feel secure about their personal financial situation; 72 percent are happy in their jobs; 85 percent of people are satisfied with their lives; and 86 percent are optimistic about the future.What we all should take from this is that the american dream is not dead, it is still strong and there is still hope.
