The present is a full Bio-Psycho-Social Assessment of Elizabeth Delany (Bessie). She was born in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was the daughter of a father born into slavery and freed by emancipation proclamation and her mother was of mixed racial parentage. Bessie and her family grew up in a college campus, St. Augustine’s School, where her father was an episcopal priest and vice principal. Bessie received her doctorate of dental surgery degree from Columbia University in 1923 and was the second black woman licensed to practice dentistry in New York. Bessie died in September 1995 at the age of 104. This assessment is based on a Biography conducted by Amy Hill Hearth, the book put together, from thousands of anecdotes that the sisters shared with Amy Hill Hearth during ant eighteen-month period (September 1991- April 1993). The sense of hearing deteriorates, therefore many older people have difficulty to follow conversations especially, if there is outside noise (television, radio or side conversations); men are more likely to experience hearing impairments than women, it’s important to mention that people who encountered this issue tend to feel isolated and lonely, because they are left out of conversations due to their hearing impairment (Zastrow & Kirst-Ashman, 2013). Another biological issue that many of our elderly population faced is the need of glasses to see well, over the years their vision declines and they experience deterioration of the lens, cornea, retina, iris and optic nerve. Over time these issues lead to more serious conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma and macular degeneration (Zastrow & Kirst-Ashman,
