Is survival a chance? Or is it strength?

Hey! I'm a naylor! Yes, you can do it! There are some people out in the world who believe life is all luck, that just feels incorrect, I do not believe all life is luck. So, if you continue to read this essay, you will find more info on the subject. Now to address a glaring issue is that survival takes a combination of strengths and weaknesses to survive or even thrive. It can also take valuable experience with certain subjects to survive. It is also good to address that survival takes effort, it is not just one thing then Boom your done with surviving! The two most important factors for improving people’s chances of survival are, mental strength and

This can be seen in the story “Unbroken” by Laura Hillenbrand. The evidence to support this claim is when there is a plane that flew by and shot up the raft and they all fell off “Louie swam up behind him and gave him a push, and Phil slopped up on board” (Para 9 Hillenbrand). More evidence can be seen or found in the story “To build a fire,” This evidence can be seen after the man falls and gets his feet wet “If he had only had a trail-mate he would have been in no danger now. The trail-mate could have built the fire.” The first piece of evidence that supports the claim of how mental and physical strength are important to survival is because in order for Louie to be able to push Phil up above the immense drag of water, it is a great showcase of how in a dire stance, of survival, the body will over work it’s physical aspects to save someone and itself. Or will you act and work on survival skills? Now of course there’s always others who think differently from others, they claim that all human survival is all up to chance, now to explain this I have evidence, which can be seen in the biography of Sherwood, when he is explaining some mindset things to us “Psychologists have a clunky term for this: active passiveness. It means recognizing when to stop and when to go. In a critical sense, doing something can mean doing nothing. “(Sherwood para 4). Another piece of evidence is that others can train adversity “That they marshal in a moment of adversity: a mindset and ways of thinking about a situation.” This evidence matters to the rebuttal because it shows that life is about stopping, going, and stopping again, so for one to be able to control that is a great showcase of mindset. The other piece of evidence shows that mindset is a moment of adversity, to be able to see the big picture, find escape routes, people who will die, others who may die, and others to go with, this all happens very fast as well, so to be able to control it is a lot of training. That is why the two most important factors in improving survival are mental strength and physical strength. In all, the first paragraph detailed how both
