Lauryn's first verse was about the women and now it's all about the men. At the time when the song was written, men were “More concerned with his rims and his Timbs than his women”(verse 2). Young men don't know what they want, they are too young to know and it is not their fault. She exhorts men that a pretty smile and cocky personality can only get them but so far. Hill challenges the men to pretend they are “the ones that pack pistols by they waist men. Cristal by the case men, still in they mother's basement”( verse 2) Are these the men that they would want their daughters to be around.
