In Bronx Masquerade by Nikki Grimes, people discover that two characters that have to change how they see themselves before they can change how others see them are Janelle and Diondra. Diondra is a character that goes to school and hates being the tallest girl in the school because she gets bullied. In the text, Diondra says “I hate always being the tallest girl in school.
