David Rockwell Graduation Address Kim Henkel Chemistry 6th Period 08/20/13 David Rockwells' suggestions in his graduation address were relatable to me and my everyday life. But one of his suggestions were more relatable than the others to me. David Rockwell says “Invest your time in things that you love to do. If you don't love what you are doing. Why are you doing it?” In my words, he tells me that do not waste your time on things you do not enjoy or than your life will not be filled with happiness. All humans look for happiness in life, we do not want suffering. If we are not doing what we love, then we are suffering a little inside because we are not completely happy. You can even connect Davids suggestion to a recent slang word “YOLO” , you only live once, because “YOLO” is also saying to do the things you want/love without really thinking though. But if you love what you are doing or what you want to do then do it, because if you do not love it there is no point on doing it. Another suggestion from David Rockwell graduation address that caught my attention and was very interesting was “your hands, your brain, your entire being is your wealth, so take care of it”. Saying to be thankful for what you have, even the littlest of things or the things you do not realize you should be thankful for. Also to embrace what you have and what is special about you and do not just be hidden behind everything and everyone, because
