In the article, “Shattered Lives” by Kristin Lewis, The challenges Dania faces living as a refugee outside her country are, Dania and her family huddled together in a hole her father dug for their safety. Dania’s uncle died from a missile that hit the town bakery. Their family had to take risks and hope for the best like, stay and die or leave and live. As time went by things got worse around the world. It was not unusual to see kids in their pajamas because they had nothing else to wear. Most of Syrian children went to school. Education in their countries it was a big challenge. Kids had to work to help their families.
