In “Preventing Teen Suicide: What the Evidence Shows”, written by Aaron E. Carroll, it states that, “In 2011, for the first time in more than 20 years, more teenageres died from suicide than homicide.” (1 Carroll) This statistic shouldn’t sadden the readers but make them realize that suicide is a problem which needs to be addressed as quickly as possible. Society shouldn’t push kids to the limit where they would rather be dead than take another breath, but should instead encourage them and make them feel wanted and loved because that’s all they truly need. Every two hours and eleven minutes a person under the age of twenty five have successfully committed suicide. This has to end. In the article, Carroll lists many ways to help prevent suicide
