In my words, texting does not harm our knowledge. Texting is a popular source of communicating with friends or family. Many teenagers use this method to get to know someone, emergencies or even just to talk about something. In “Text-Speak Is Harming Teens’ Writing Skills” the author talks about how using shortcuts like LOL is ruining our grammar. Which is a good point, but typing words is too long sometimes. Like what if someone has to go really fast, a shortcut would save time so he/she is not late. Texting can actually help us out believe it or not. In “Text-Speak Can Help Students”, the author claims that it will help us “code switch”. I think this is a really good claim due to that if you talk to one person it might be different
