Some Wounds Don’t Heal Imagine somewhere across the United States, a woman being assaulted or beaten and not a single soul having knowledge of it. In every four women, at least one will struggle with domestic violence somewhere throughout her life. Domestic violence is the repetition of certain conduct in order to inaugurate authority and discipline over someone else. This does not only occur in the life of females. Males and children may experience domestic violence as well. Being involved in such violence can have short-term and long-term effects in a person's life life. For example, if a child were to be beaten, for the moment they may experience their head hurting, their stomach aching, their body throbbing, or other short-term effects.
