The speaker doesn't tell people because they didn't care when she had first told her them, “She told you she was down, you let it slip by, So from then on she kept it on the inside”. She had gotten depression by people bullying her. She went through a rough time and tried fighting the depression. She had started to cut herself but blamed it on the cat. She went to school and alone she sat, she had no friends at school. She knew what she had to do next she would kill herself. In the song ¨her last words¨ by courtney parker, i found one simile out of many it was “She carried on like a soldier with a battle wound”. She talks about hurting herself and carry on with the wounds like a soldier. She had cut herself , and the hurt inside is the wound that she is talking about. Also in the song “her last words” there was a symbolism here is one of the symbolism that i found. “You'll know when your time has come, just look at the moon” the moon is symbolism for enlightenment or death.
