I attended the artist lecture by Sam Moyer, who is an American artist who received her BFA from the Corcoran College of Art and Design and MFA from Yale. Her style of art is very diverse and includes painting, structures and sculptural objects. Moyer explained that she is fascinated with texture and objects. Lots of her current sculptural work includes metal, fabric, and marble.
During the lecture Moyer explains her progression as an artist during her education. However, I never feel like I am capable of attempting the style of art I like as it is more abstract and contemporary. But hearing her say that is reassuring that I could be capable of creating art in the similar style I
