The geography of ancient Greece was important to the Greeks in many ways. There are many mountains in the mainland, and about 1,400 islands. The geography is interesting because it has lots of land and lots of water.

The first fault of the geography is that communication was not very easy because of the mountains and seas. The mountains and waters also kept the city/states from joining. Also, the enemy could have possibly used the mountains for cover on attacks. There were also good things about the geography like not having long or cold winters. The mountains also helped the Greeks have water without going to far. The climate also helped by making it easier to grow trees and grapes and stuff. The water helped by providing food and transportation.
