Many columnists have already jumped the gun by proclaiming that he is the best big man in the NBA. Honestly, is that too far fetched right now? You look at other players that could be brought into this discussion, but none are at the level that Drummond is at right now. Anthony Davis and Demarcus Cousins are indeed tremendously talented big men, but anyone would take Drummond right now.
At this point, it is apparent that the dilemma in Detroit before this season was having both Greg Monroe and Drummond in the front-court. They both demand the ball in the post, and one had to go. We've seen head coach Stan Van Gundy mold an up-and-coming big man into a star before, (Dwight Howard in Orlando), and we may be witnessing that accomplishment again.
The entire roster is manufactured around Drummond, and basically everything within' the organization is invested in him.
