For my response paper this week, I would like to further discuss about the transformation of music over the years with the use of technology. There has been a vast difference in the way music is heard, delivered and appreciated nowadays. With limited technological advancements in the past, music was simple and straightforward but now with the developments in technology, there a lot of different ways in which music is conveyed and viewed. I would like to focus on two readings I came across this week that caught my attention. I strongly believe that the Internet needs to be free for the people and feel like the primary concern for artists should be about the good quality of music. By having copyright reforms, the situation will not end instantly but there will be improvements with the implementations of stricter rules and regulations and this would enable a safer environment for the listeners. A good example would be that of the Creative Commons which is a non-profit organization that “offers copyright license that allows creators to specify exactly which rights they want to retain and which they give to public.” I feel strongly about this example as it creates a
