Andrew Vai wrote the piece “Go to School” he also made a video on what inspired him to write it. In the video he said that he was in a Pacific Islander class where they had a guest speaker. Vai mentioned that the guest speaker asked the class “Would you kill for their family?” After the guest speaker saw the majority of the class raised their hand he changed the question on the class. The guest told them then why can’t you go to school for your family and the class started to lower their hands down. After the experience Andrew Vai was inspired to write the “Go to School” piece.
