Andrew Warhola, born on August 6th 1928 in Pennsylvania, he is one of the most influencing painter and printer of the past decade. Andy Warhol's parents are Slovakian immigrants Ondrej Warhola, his father, he was a construction worker, while his mother, Julia Warhola, was an embroiderer. Andy is also known to be a cool head, he is at the moment at the peak of his career and he is known for not being a big flap jaw which can be noticed in some of my recent face to face interviews. Andy is also one of New Yorks more paid commercial illustrators and his woks can cost up to millions. When Andy graduated from college with his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (1949), Warhol moved to New York City to seek a career as a commercial artist. Towards this time Andy had dropped the "a" from his last name and changed his first name from Andrew Warhola to Andy Warhol. POP-ART is the creation of paintings or sculptures of mass culture objects and media stars, the Pop art movement aimed to blur the boundaries between "high" art and "low" art. The aim was to eliminate any form of hierarchy of culture in the arts which blocked the artist to progress in their art, and that art may borrow or steal from any source and this has been one of the most valuable characteristics of Pop art; Artists steal from each other constantly, but they steal like an artist, they never copy and paste.
