And though no one cared to mention it in the hearing of the pigs or the dogs, it was felt that the killings which had taken place did not square with this." This links to an older quote in the book that was also one of the main focuses, “... All the habits of Man are evil. And, above all, no animal must ever tyrannise over his own kind...” (Chapter 1, page 11). Napoleon obviously disregarded this agreement because he certainly did tyrannize over his own kind.
