The art done was so amazing that the men were able to go into society. "She was very proud of the fact that men who had thought they were going to have to live lives as recluses were able to go back into society” (Lubin). Coleman and her crew had done should a great job that the soldiers were able to go back into society, without major setbacks. The crew and Anna Coleman Ladd would paint the mask while the soldiers wore it, making it look as realistic as possible. “After repeated fittings and adjustments, which might take several weeks, Ladd would position the mask on his face and take out a paintbrush” (Lubin).The crew would make sure everything on the mask was perfect. Ending the mask making process with painting the mask while the soldier wore it to get the exact skin color. Coleman made many great contributions not only to the soldiers but to the families and the rest of the world.
Anna Coleman Ladd put others before herself and the result was truly amazing. Coleman wanted to sincerely help those in need and it was possible with her passion. The total view of life was changed for the better. Coleman left a great example of how to “sculpt” people and how to make it possible for doctors and patients.
