Anna Maria Chavez uses herself as an example in her oral presentation which I believe is a great thing to do, it allows your audience to form a connection with the speaker while thinking to themselves “well they did it why can’t I”, to explain using yourself as an example allows the people to be drawn into what you will be talking about due to the fact of them seeing how good your life has become and want the same for themselves especially if it has anything to do with bringing more money into your home. Another key point, Chavez brings attention to one specific person a girl named Irene and tells the audience about how much she has blossomed since joining the girl scouts in fact while speaking about Irene and how much she’s grown as a scout
