They elaborate on the fact that a high quality preschool program will need high quality teachers. The teachers need to be well educated. Preparing our children in preschool will prepare them for future success in a global environment. Universal preschool will help more of our children learn the skills that they need at an early age. Interacting with other peers on a daily bases will help give them the ability to work in different environments. The advocates for universal pre-k agree that early childhood education provides more than just the skills that a child needs for academic learning, but it also produce social and an emotional skill that makes it possible for the students to learn. Early childhood education will enable the student to gain knowledge that will help students throughout their life. It looks at the benefits for all children, those of a low socioeconomic background, and those that are handicapped. The children who are overlooked will probably benefit the most. They are right above the poverty line. It implies that research shows that if children are reached before they are five then the benefits will be long term. The children are less likely to fail their grades, or get in trouble with the law. At this age, the children’s minds are growing and developing. In low socioeconomic backgrounds many of those kids enter school with no preschool education. These children are already at a disadvantage. This will put the children at risk for academic success. A high quality preschool program will have a positive effect on the children’s ability to learn and be successful in life.
