Furthermore, authors Henderson and Herring (2015) use the analogy of a snowflake to humans. Like humans, snowflakes are put together in such a unique way that no two snowflakes have been exactly the same. The authors express that each snowflake is unique in its temperature, humidity, and wind turbulence. Similar to snowflakes, individuals are crafted in a way that no two people are exactly the same even twins (Herring & Henderson, 2015, p. 16). With that knowledge, employers should not see groups like the lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgender but rather see individuals who are different in their own way. Creating an inclusive and diverse workforce allows for individuals to bring their best effort to the organization.
