The films, images and sounds used not merely effective to get a crossed the story of Ansel Adams and his passion for photography. Likewise, it was used manipulatively in certain areas to produce a sense of sympathetic compassion for the viewer. This idea of compassion was to connect the viewer who might've experienced things similar to Adams himself. For those who never experienced things such as hyperactivity, depression, dark conflicting thoughts and other negative thoughts these images and sounds were used to make the viewer feel bad or have compassion on Adams due to the fact he was suffering severely from depression. The idea of compassion was to link the viewer who might’ve experienced things similar to Adams himself.
