Anti-Asian sentiment, which includes systematic biases, discrimination, and violence, has existed in the United States for centuries. The pressing need for collective action against the occurrence of xenophobia has been made clear by the persistence of hate crimes and the prevalence of prejudice in media portrayals. But despite the obstacles, there are encouraging signals: more people are being represented, and advocacy campaigns are gathering steam. Despite the boundaries of the United States, the problem extends far beyond it, showing the importance of addressing this issue globally to prevent future conflicts and discrimination against Asians. It is critical to confront lingering xenophobia because everyone, regardless of color, deserves to live with dignity and respect, free of prejudice and discrimination. Furthermore, it is important to support the concepts of equality and fairness for all people, regardless of race or ethnicity. Anti-Asian sentiment can lead to harassment, violence, and hate crimes against Asians in other nations, which could be avoided if the issue was properly taught and promoted by many people, particularly public personalities. Asians are deemed to be hardworking and workaholics, which is a combination of cultural expectation, social pressure, legal loopholes that businesses abuse to work their employees, and priority of people with regards to what they value in life, as studies say. The exploitation of labor has never been so widespread as today. According to the International Labour Organization (ILO), the Asia-Pacific region has the greatest absolute number of forced laborers, with somewhere around 11 million people at any one time, while the global total is approximately 21 …show more content…
