Large numbers of people across the world remember the terrible and destructive events of the Holocaust during World War II. However, not an (oversupply/large amount) of people knows about the current event happening now. In a country known as The Central African Republic (CAR), thousands of people are dying. This event is known as mass murder, the carefully planned killing of a hugely huge group of people. There are many close family attributes between the holocaust and the CAR mass murder.
To begin, the CAR is a (not having any sea or ocean coast) country in Central Africa and stands as one of the poorest countries in the world. This serious problem began when a group of Muslim fighters Seleka grabbed and took control of power from President Francois Bozize. Her diary in which she wrote her experiences remains with us today. Before going to hiding her everyday activities were separated (because of race, religion, etc.) due to her Jewish faith. According to Anne herself, she (by speaking/related to speaking) expresses "You could not do this and you could not do that. They forced Father out of his business. We had to wear yellow stars. I had to turn in my bike. I couldn't go to Dutch school anymore. I couldn't go to the movies, or ride in a car, even on a streetcar, and a million other things." (Beers 283) This illustrates the struggle of millions of Jews when Hitler rose to power, (opposite from what's expected), Seleka, and Anti- Balaka takes a more hateful approach by violently/harshly torturing and killing innocent people not in the military.
