No your not arrogant if you listen, that just wouldn’t make any sense logically. Your arrogant if you don’t. Arrogance is one's self-pride that results in a disgusting belief that one is superior among others. Therefore they lack the basic concept of listening, ultimately pushing them deeper in this belief that they know everything and aren’t willing to hear more. For example, Creon refused to listen to Antigone’s reasoning for burying her brother. Creon had believed that he had the same amount of power as the gods, which pushed his ego into thinking “ I’m the voice they listen to” not the gods. And although his son, wife, and nephew told him to listen to Antigone’s reasoning, he ended up killing his very own family during the process. His arrogance was like it was a deadly disease, killing anything and everything that came in its way.

I’m sure you did, but never realized how much it has impacted your way of life. Simple things such as the alphabet or your times tables aren’t just implanted into your brain when you're born, you’ve been taught to retain this information because you will need it all throughout life. Have you ever noticed why baby toys are the most annoying thing on earth? It's because they play music that help babies retain the information being received in the form of “joyful” music. Even when you get older, it stays the same. If i hear something i need to know, i'll be able to easily retain that information. For example, a friend told me they had begun experiencing depression recently, so to help them I’ve been keeping them in a good mood so it doesn’t get worse. If i had completely disregarded this information, suicide would’ve been a possible option which scares me a great amount. I wouldn’t have had one of my best friends today if i didn’t listen.
