It was the middle of March 2013 as my alarm clock illuminated the bedroom with its bright red glow. The time flickered to 12:00 a.m. as another round of insomnia flowed through my body. Being diagnosed with depression helped me become more engrossed in what makes some people more susceptible to a mental illness than others. Lexy also helped me realize what a good therapist does for their clients and inspired me to consider psychology as a major in college. As of right now, I plan on majoring in psychology at Knox College and getting my Bachelor's Degree with the intent of becoming a Clinical Psychologist. I want to make a difference in the lives of teenagers who feel the same way I felt not too long ago. Never in my wildest dreams did I think recovery would have been a possibility for me. Now, nothing inspires me more than knowing recovery from anything is possible and can be achieved by anyone.
