Apollo 13 is often said to be “a successful failure.” Why is this? Well maybe it’s because the three brave astronauts, on the shuttle, were predicted to die in the next few hours - but they survived. Three astronauts, Fred Haise, Jack Swigert, and Jim Lovell, were blasted into space on April 11, 1970.
