With items like tablets on the market consumers have found a new way to read with electronic books or more commonly known as e-books. They are also more affordable to make than there paperback versions. With this affordability companies like Amazon and jumped on the chance to enter this market. It was the start of a Monopoly Market Structure until Apple jumped in. In the State of Texas a antitrust law suit was filed because it was found that Apple unlawfully conspired with major U.S. publishers to raise the prices of e-books.
