Mid-Term Examination
1. Virginia House of Burgess- the first official democratically elected legislative body within British North America. The group of representatives all met from 1619 up to1776. The burgesses are called from the county in Virginia with each county sending two burgesses. The Virginia House of Burgesses is crucial because the plans and leaders from this house help create the American Revolutionary War.

First Continental Congress- a group of 56 delegates from the 12 colonies, all met in Philadelphia; September of 1774. The delegates all came together to act in response to the Intolerable Acts. The delegates met privately, to not allow Great Britain to know they united.
4. Second Continental Congress- was taken place on 1775, the beginning of the Revolutionary war. It started off horrible, and the armed forces were chaotic. The Continental Congress builds the Continental Army and named George Washington as commander in chief. Among the discussions, came the Declaration of Independence, Marines Corps, and Articles of Confederation.
5. Battle of Saratoga- a series of military disputes fought during September and October 1777 between the Kingdom of Great Britain and its thirteen colonies in North America during the American Revolutionary War. In the battlefield, American and Britain forces fought during the Battle of Saratoga was located near Albany in Saratoga County, New York. The Battle of Saratoga ended up victorious for the American colonists. The earlier Battle of Oriskany, Siege of Fort Stanwix together with Battle of Bennington also played a part of the Saratoga
