My story revolves around the zoo. For the past five years of my life I have been a youth volunteer at the Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium. The program has opened a door to a world unique and individual to each person who enters the program. For me, it means gaining leadership and job experience doing something I love. This past year I have been shadowing in the aquarium. I have learned more about marine life and behaviors than I would have otherwise in high school. The experience of helping an aquarist gives me a look at what my career goal of being a marine biologist might look like.
