Individuals who are disabled have a hard time performing daily activities. Aquatic therapy is used to improve an individual’s mobility and encourage personal development. It is also widely used for different disabilities such as cerebral palsy to autism. The studies conducted have very different duration times and techniques. Though, the study of aquatic therapy has barely progressed some studies show that it has been effective in most patients. Therefore, all these strategies can be effective, though they are conducted differently. Each method has its own way of stimulating different parts of the body to enhance mobility. Every individual also has a different disability therefore, taking time to rehabilitate and gain back some mobility. Some children and people will need a few weeks to start seeing a difference but others will need months to see change.
Similarities
The three articles have the same goal which, it to use aquatic therapy to gain mobility step by step. All three methods target the whole body, from your head to your toes. The articles mention that it may take long but will benefit an individual from gaining comfort and confidence.
