The radiofrequency radiation that is emitted by cellular phones has a very low intensity and it is not high enough to cause the development of cancer tumors (Nelson). When you are on a phone call with someone the cell phone is emitting a radio wave frequency and when you hold the phone close to your ear the tissue around the phone heats and absorbs the waves but the amount of waves that are emitted from the phone are not intense or strong enough to cause cancer cells to form (Nelson). When the tissue around you head heats up that means it is absorbing the waves. Even though it is absorbing the waves the radio waves that are emitted do not and a huge effect or an effect to cause the development of cancer cells. Another reason why I believe that the radiofrequency radiation from radio waves does not cause cancer is because the waves that are transmitted do not have enough power and intensity to break the chemical bond for cancer cells to form (Nelson). The radio waves that are transmitted are not strong enough to affect the chemical bonds in the body, for something to affect the chemical bond in the body it has to use ionizing radiation. Most people believe that cell phones do not cause cause cancer, but the other amount of people believe that it does cause
