You are in your home, caring for your family, you are struggling to keep them well fed, and alive, you try to send them to school, but you can’t since you don’t have enough money to send them to school. The government there doesn’t help you as they are too busy with rolling in their wealth. You wish you can leave for a better place, but then you hear about a land where the government listens to the people, a place where you could send your kids to school, a land where you have freedom, and rights, that land is called America. America is known as the land of the free and the home of the brave, and plus, America gives freedom to it’s people, but does America actually have freedoms? Though, some people think otherwise, as there is a current problem in America, where people of the African American descent had felt as if they were being suppressed, and they were treated less of, mainly because of slavery in America. This had made a new movement, called Black Lives Matter, and some say it is becoming a new civil rights movement (the guardian).
Furthermore, the government of America is a democracy, democracy is a government by the people, for the people, but is it really a democracy? Each state has two senators that help send the people’s votes, and represent the state. Though, people’s votes mean nothing, at least it means nothing in anything big. Back in 1787, people didn’t know whether or not America should be a democracy, as it was still a new seed in the people’s minds (Walbert).
All in all, whether or not America is a bad place, it isn’t that bad either, as there are much worse countries, and most people come to America so they can live a new life. There are still pros and cons, and nobody can guess what can happen in America in the upcoming years, as the United states still has problems, and people are still thinking that America is giving more freedom to certain races of
