Gun Control in America Guns in America are digested in diverse aspects. Some find the need for guns is necessary, while many argue that there is a severe demand for gun control. Access to guns is relatively effortless. Death tolls due to gun violence are on the rise and people within the United States are becoming increasingly frustrated over the ease of access to lethal weapons. Accessibility to guns has become uncomplicated allowing weapons to fall into the wrong hands. When weaponry falls into the wrong hands there are massive fatal occurrences. In 1999, the incident at Columbine high school in Littleton, Colorado will be an even that will go down in history as one of the most terrifying school shootings. Fifteen were brutally murdered, while twenty-three more were injured. During the 2012 shooting in a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado, twelve people were killed and fifty-eight were wounded as a gunman opened fire. October 2018 in Las Vegas, Nevada, fifty-eight were shot dead at a music festival, the largest number of casualties in the modern history of mass shootings.
