Do you agree with the new legislation coming into effect fall 2017? Texas public colleges and universities are going to start allowing concealed, licensed handguns on-campus. Imagine yourself in the classroom, a place with a non-hostile environment, where you go to learn, and suddenly out of nowhere you hear somebody firing a gun. Then you hear another gunshot from across the room, and then another one. A few seconds later, you lose count and do not have anywhere to run. Now, instead of having only one person firing a gun, you have multiple people and bullets are flying all across the room. Therefore, public college and universities should not allow concealed, licensed handguns on-campus because: it could cause chaos when police arrive, some people may have psychological issues, and it will not reduce the firearm violence on campuses. …show more content…
In a worst case scenario, when the police arrive to the scene and see many different people are shouting at each other, they may not know which guy out of all of them is the bad guy. They might see everyone as a threat and start shouting at anyone with a gun.
