All citizens desire the right to cast a vote whether locally or federally. Up until now, young adults faced without justification, the simple act of voting. Meaning the laws proved unconstitutional in that, it allows the 18 year old to serve in wars while at the same time, denying soldiers voting privileges. In the 1960s many student voting rights activist, held marches, and demonstrations in order to bring attention to the fact that, many eighteen year olds died for this country, while denied the benefits of voting within the political ram.

The closed tally results in 24 voters, which represents 82.3% voted in favor of the amendment while five voters representing 17.2% voted (Against) the amendment, which allows changing the amendment, lowering the voting age from 21 to 18, and 3 did not vote. In comparison to the General Public votes, more than 1,097,747 turned-out with 865,397 of the voters representing 78.83% voting in favor of Texas Proposition 4 (1997), while over 232 thousand citizens representing 21.17% voted against the proposition, in fear that, 18 year olds level of maturity is embryonic therefore lack erudition in processing the issues involved on a Political
