While some homeless have jobs, some must seek other methods to make a living. Begging and panhandling is one option, but is becoming increasingly illegal in many cities. Begging has been specifically prohibited by law in various jurisdictions in the United States and Canada, typically defined as persistent or intimidating begging. Critics generally maintain that people are homeless because society has let them down and argue that homelessness is due to personal failure and that it is, therefore, unfair to the government or the rest of society to be expected to care for them because they did that themselves but veterans that are homeless need to be taken care of because there probably homeless from either just losing it and turning pycho from being in the military and seen what they’ve seen.
