It hurt to walk and her legs look as if she had gotten beaten by a professional boxer. How was she supposed to accept an offer of running at a university, if she couldn’t run and defend herself when others controlled her during races.
This very thought made her think and think and think. Not only does she have her personal trainer, but she has the ability to have him help show strategies to her about not freaking out during the middle of a meet. Once he started showing her what to do if the same situation had ever started again, Kelsea would be able to use it. Practicing over and over had really help her. Kelsea probably would be able to use it with her eyes closed, but hopefully she wouldn’t ever need to.
Since it was the final day for Kelsea to decide she had a conversation with her parents. They said that it was a once in a lifetime opportunity, and if she declined then she would never be able to get that same offer again. Encouraging her to say yes, but also giving the opposite side to the argument, stated that if she accepted then she would miss 2 years of her high school experience. Kelsea thought long and hard. She went back and forth, and back and forth taking into consideration she parents and friends.
