Recently in Springfield, Mr. Joe Jones, the owner of the restaurant Munchy’s, has banned all teenagers from their place. Mr.Jones banned teenagers, because he wants to have a “quiet lunch”. Mr. Jones stated in a newspaper that “All high school students are loud, play music out loud, and are on their cell phones all the time”. The teenagers, who are soon to be banned from Munchy’s decided to stand up for themselves and will pass out leaflets on Wednesday to inform the public on Mr. Jones’s decision. These teenagers refuse to have their rights taken away. I believe Munchy’s does not have the right to ban teenagers.
People of Springfield are confused because it is not only teenagers who misbehave it’s the adults too. Teenagersare …show more content…
It does not feel like that anymore. The discrimination at Munchy’s on the basis of age is what makes people angry. The fact that Mr. Jones took away our rights by not allowing anyone to eat in a certain place based off of age. Is not fair to all U.S citizens. These teenagers just simply want to eat a good lunch. Munchy’s does not have the right to take away this right.
Furthermore, we wish there were more place to eat other than Munchy’s. Munchy’s is a healthy fast food, giving teens not many options around town. Making it not convenient for anyone, especially during lunch time. Our town has a couple of unhealthy fast food places and our cafeteria. Munchy’s is making it harder for students to eat healthy. The students’ only choice is now the cafeteria.
Some may argue, that Munchy’s has the right to ban teenagers. In my personal opinion, I think this act shows a large amount of disrespect towards teenagers. It’s basis and rude of Mr. Jones. Now that all teenagers are gone, Munchy’s revenue won’t decrease. This could lead them out of business. What Mr.Jones is doing is not just hurting the teenagers, it’s hurting his company too. There is no point in banning teenagers. If Mr. Jones wants to go out of business, then it’s understandable, but this is still a discrimination towards teenagers
