The "Big Three" meant everything to Ole Miss football. The football program wouldn't be where it is today without LaQuon Treadwell, Laremy Tunsil, and Robert Nkemdiche. Ole Miss wouldn't have two straight Egg Bowls wins, no back-to-back victories over Alabama, and their would be no Sugar Bowl trophy. Those three were the core of the team and I'll forever be grateful that they chose the underdog.
I always thought Hugh Freeze was a special man and a great coach, but I didn't know how great of a recruiter he was until he reeled in the three biggest fish he's ever caught. Freeze stunned the world when LaQuon Treadwell committed to the Rebels on January 17 2013, that commitment alone was enough to shock the college football world.
People didn't know how to react after Treadwell committed, some thought it was a fluke, others were sure he was paid, most were flabbergasted that the nations number one Wide Receiver chose to play for a team that was coming off of a 7-6 season. No of that mattered because he wanted to play for the red and blue.
Over a three year career, MegaQuon, as he is affectionately known by Ole Miss fans, put up some incredible numbers in Hugh Freezes high powered offense. The highly touted Freshman did not disappoint -- pulling down…show more content… He was disruptive and every college coach in the nation game planned around number 5 -- that's how good he was. Unfortunately he had a well publicized event in Atlanta, GA. Apparently Nkemdiche fell from his second story hotel room, he only had minor injuries but was still taken to the hospital. Authorities found Marijuana in his hotel room and he was charged with possession -- he was also suspended for The Sugar Bowl, his career as a Rebel was over. Even with all the red flags Nkemdiche is still expected to be a 1st round pick in the 2016 NFL
